EFFECTIVE DIET WHICH CONTROL DIABETES
Don’t worry if you are a diabetic patient. There are other 425 million people who are also diabetic patients and it will reached at 629 million in 2045 according to the International_Diabetes_Federation (IDF_diabetes_atlas), IDF also showed global statistics of diabetes.
In diabetes, there is blood glucose which is also called blood sugar and this is the main source of converting food (which we eat) into energy while insulin is a hormone in the body which made by pancreas and it is working for support blood glucose to transform the food into energy through cells. That is why when body does not produce insulin or produce insufficient insulin it will be cause of stoppage of blood glucose in the blood and does not reached to cells.
There are two types of diabetes.
Type 1 diabetes: This type of diabetes mostly found in young and children’s, in which body does not produce insulin.
Type 2 diabetes: While in this type, insulin produce but inadequate amount or second condition is body cannot use of insulin properly.
There is no cure of diabetes but you just have to maintain your diet and change life style.
SYMPTOMS OF DIABETES
Following signs are alarming signs for you which means it’s time to check your diabetes test. Whenever you get indication from any symptom visit your doctor immediately.
- More thirst
- More hunger
- Dry mouth or skin
- Weight loss (even you feel hunger) or gain
- Blurry vision
- Pain on lower body such as feet and legs
- Increase in urination/urine or yeast infection
- Slow wound healing
DIET TIPS FOR DIABETIC PATIENTS

However there is no specific diet for diabetic patients. But following are some foods and alternative tips, which can be helpful in diabetes.
KEEP HEALTHY FAT IN DESSERT
Always keep healthy fat in your dessert because fat hustle down the digestive system which means the level of blood sugar don’t spear as fast. But it doesn’t mean that you have to take chocolaty cake. Healthy fat (low fat) food include yogurt, cheese, nuts, ricotta and peanut butter.
TAKE SWEET WITH MEAL
If you want to eat sweet, then always take along with your food which means avoid to take sweets alone (as a snack) because it can rise up your sugar level but if you will take with healthy meal so blood sugar level not increase rapidly.
REDUCED CARBONATED DRINKS, JUICES AND SODA
Remove all carbonated and soda drinks and juices from your daily life. Drinking of 12 oz. sweet beverages in a day can increase 15% risk of diabetes. Drink plenty of water instead of these drinks and also avoid sugar and cream in your coffee and tea.
ADD FLAVOR BY YOUR OWN SELF
Try to buy unsweetened and unflavored items such as plain yogurt, oatmeal and add fruits in it instead of refined sugar or other healthy fat but in low quantity.
EAT CHROMIUM FOOD
What is chromium?
Chromium works as insulin signaling pathway which will assist to control the amount of sugar in the body however it balances the level of blood glucose and provide us energy. Chromium picolinate available in vegetables, especially (high amount) in broccoli.
Bitter melon also known as bitter gourd. Most effective in diabetes because it has blood glucose lowing property which helps to reach glucose in body organs and cell by increasing in insulin.
This is good for both type of diabetes. But it cannot be used as treatment of insulin.
Drink juice of bitter melon in morning on empty stomach.
There are some other supplements which you should add in your diet such as fish oil, alpha lipoic acid, magnesium, coriander and cinnamon oil.
Foods which you have to avoid if you are diabetic patient like grain, sugar, dairy products such as cow’s milk.
Also stay away from stress and depression keep your mind relax and do exercise or walk daily. This is most important for diabetic patients.
